Mapping and Identifying Plants at Sims Community Garden in Edgewood

Sims Community Garden in Edgewood is open to the public.  Led by Rachel Ahrnsen, the curator at Sims Community Garden, this group’s project involved mapping and identifying plants at the Garden.  Along with Rachel the members of the group were Patricia Tate, Kathryn Michael, Ginny Baxley and Elizabeth Lindsey.  During the course of this project, they were able to identify seventy-seven plants on the property, including common names, official names and pictures of where the plant is located on the property.  In addition, they cleared an area of the property.
