The ARC Garden
The Arc of the United States is an organization serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The organization was founded in the 1950s by parents of people with developmental disabilities. Melissa McLemore, Thermon Jones, and Martha Jones worked with Master Gardener mentor, Linda Phillips to develop a plan for planting and maintenance of vegetables and pollinator plants in existing accessible beds. They planned for hands-on gardening throughout the seasons. The recommended gardening-related activities for use by other volunteers on a half for full-day basis.
